1. Neodymium
Anisotropic magnets have a much stronger and more stable magnetic field then common, Isotropic magnets.
This extra step makes all the difference
Magnetic material crystals, in powder form, are magnetized so they orient (face) the same direction. This maximizes their energy storing capacity.
The magnetized crystals are molded into solid blocks, which are then cut into individual magnets. The magnets are then magnetized a second time, which charges them to maximum capacity.
This double magnetizing process gives the magnet a stronger, more stable magnetic field, and makes the magnet Anisotropic.
Common Isotropic magnets are magnetized only once, at the end of the manufacturing process.
Because the powder was not magnetized before molding to orient the crystals, the magnets can't store as much energy and are weaker.

The Manufacturer's Gauss Rating is an industry standard measurement that tells us the maximum amount of magnetic energy that a particular type and grade of magnet can hold.
This measurement remains constant, regardless of the number of magnets a product contains.
In other words, if a magnetic therapy product contains 10 magnets, and each magnet is rated at 4,000 gauss, the Gauss Rating of the product is still 4,000 gauss. It does not increase.

You may have noticed the term Penetration Depth on some websites used as a way of relating product effectiveness. This is the distance from the magnet where the strength of the magnetic field is no longer measureable.
The above method is meaningless in magnetic therapy because the magnetic field loses all therapeutic effectiveness long before that point.
At Therion, we developed the term Effective Penetration Depth. This is the distance from the magnet where the strength of the magnetic field is no longer therapeutically effective, which is significantly less than the Penetration Depth.
Using a 3,950 gauss, 4" x 6" x ½" ceramic magnet as an example:
The Penetration Depth is 22".
The Effective Penetration Depth is only 16".
The magnetic field is ineffective past 16".

Advanced Biomagnetics®
Compared to System 900 magnetic mattress pads, the Level 2 Advanced Biomagnetics of the System 1800 use a larger quantity of magnets, spaced closer together. This tighter magnet spacing, produces a denser therapeutic field that works more effectively for relieving muscle tension.
System 1800 magnetic therapy mattress pads provide greater pain relief for the legs, chest, back, arms and shoulders. As muscles relax and tension flows away, the body calms down, preparing for sleep.
Relief for Aches & Pains
Stress, aches and pains all contribute to difficulty falling asleep - and staying asleep. Without adequate rest, our energy is quickly depleted the next day, pushing more physical and mental stress on the body.
Poor blood circulation and lack of sufficient oxygen are often the primary causes of tension and stiff muscles. By relaxing capillary blood vessels, the System 1800 magnetic therapy mattress pad improves blood circulation, carrying oxygen more efficiently throughout the entire body.
Health & Wellness
In addition to diet and nutrition, magnetic therapy offers another easy way to keep your body healthy. Bio-north magnetic fields help the body maintain a healthy, slightly alkaline pH level in blood. This is important, because when blood is more acidic, yeast, bacteria, and disease thrive, and the body becomes more susceptible to sickness.
Calcium ions are not as easily absorbed when blood is more acidic too. Calcium ions play pivotal roles in bone formation, muscle contraction, tissue repair, and transmitting nerve signals. In this way, System 1800 magnetic therapy mattress pads help optimize the body to repair itself and protect against illness.
Therapeutic Comfort
Above all, Therion emphasizes therapeutic comfort in every product. The System 1800 magnetic therapy mattress pads use Thera-Core™ foam, providing soft cushioning for the entire body, and reducing pressure on tender areas.
Thera-Core is a solid, full-thickness foam layer. It provides more support, and will last several years longer than convoluted foam (egg crate shape foam).
Extra Benefits
The finishing touch of the System 1800 mattress pad is its high-quality construction. The top fabric is made with a soft, cream-colored, quilted damask, with additional pillow-top fiber padding.
The bottom layer is a non-skid fabric to keep the magnetic mattress pad from sliding on your mattress. 1800 magnetic therapy mattress pads are about 1" thick, and will easily fit under a fitted sheet.
Quality Guarantee
Every Therion magnetic therapy mattress pad is made to order, and ships from our New York facility in 1-3 business days.

How Magnets Benefit Sleep
Therion’s 1800 magnetic therapy mattress pads calm and prepare the mind for sleep…
Resting on a Therion 1800 magnetic therapy mattress pad each night will help you:
- fall asleep faster
- enjoy a deeper, more rejuvenating sleep
- maintain a healthier sleep/wake cycle
- wake up with more energy to get through the day
Poor sleep is often a direct result of having some form of pain when going to bed. When magnetic therapy is used to relieve aches and pains, your quality of sleep will greatly improve.
Most notably though, the pineal gland is magnetically-sensitive. Located in the center of the brain, the tiny pineal gland produces the natural hormone melatonin, helping us fall asleep.
Circadian rhythms (our sleep/wake cycle) are synchronized by the pineal gland, which regulates melatonin production throughout the day. As we age, melatonin production decreases, making it more difficult to enjoy a good night's sleep. Our natural sleep-wake cycle can be also disturbed by stress and anxiety.
The pineal gland contains magnetite crystals, and can be influenced by external magnetic fields. Because of this, the time of the year also has an effect on circadian rhythm.
The strength of the earth's magnetic field diminishes during the winter months. This can lead to desynchronization of thr sleep/wake cycle, and a condition known as seasonal affective disorder. Seasonal affective disorder is characterized by recurrent winter depression, associated with hypersomnia (over-tiredness), overeating, and carbohydrate craving.
The external magnetic fields from a magnetic mattress pad or pillow, can rebalance melatonin secretion and resynchronize circadian rhythms. This helps us: 1) fall asleep faster, 2) enjoy deeper, rejuvenating sleep, and 3) wake up feeling more rested.
In addition to insomnia and seasonal affective disorder, studies are currently being conducted to learn more about using magnetic therapy to treat depression and drug addiction.
A Special Note from Therion
A Therion magnetic mattress pad is a true, long-term investment in better sleep, pain relief, health and wellness. But purchasing a magnetic mattress pad is not always an easy decision.
If you’ve never tried Therion magnetic therapy before and feel unsure, start small.
We recommend trying a Dreamzzz™ magnetic pillow to help you sleep better. To relieve pain and swelling in a specific body area, try an award-winning MTR magnetic support or Platinum Magnetic Pad.
Starting small gives you the opportunity to experience Therion magnetic therapy and feel how just how well it works. Once you get relief using a Therion product, it becomes easy to understand how a mattress pad will provide much more profound health benefits.
